Microsoft Teams

The biggest strength of Microsoft Teams is how perfectly it fits into the rest of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Being able to open, edit, and collaborate on Word documents or Excel spreadsheets directly inside the Teams window without switching apps is a massive time saver. The video conferencing quality is excellent and reliable, even with large groups of people on a call. I also appreciate the calendar integration, which makes scheduling meetings effortless since it syncs instantly with Outlook. The background blur and custom background features are great for maintaining professionalism when working from home. It really feels like a complete workspace rather than just a chat app.

The application can be a bit heavy on system resources, often slowing down older computers if you have too many other programs open. The file structure can sometimes get confusing because everything is backed by SharePoint, so finding a specific file shared months ago takes more clicking than I would like. The notification settings are also quite granular, and if you do not configure them correctly at the start, you can get overwhelmed by constant pop ups and sounds from different channels.

What you like most about Microsoft Teams is how it brings everything into one place so you don’t have to jump between apps or lose track of conversations. You appreciate structure and clarity, and Teams gives you that organised channels, easy file sharing, and a clean way to keep work, messages, and meetings connected. You like that you can quickly check a chat, open a document, or join a call without the usual chaos of switching tools. It feels efficient and grounded, which matches the way you manage your time and responsibilities. And because you’re someone who values clear communication, the ability to message, call, and collaborate in real time makes your workflow feel smoother and more predictable.

What you liked least about Microsoft Teams was how it sometimes felt heavier than it needed to be. When you were trying to get something done quickly, it could lag, freeze, or take a moment to load a chat or meeting, which broke your flow. Notifications could also get a bit chaotic messages popping up in different places, or alerts not syncing the way you expected. And even though Teams is meant to simplify communication, some features felt buried or overly complicated, especially when you just wanted a straightforward way to find a file or revisit a conversation. Those little moments where Teams felt slow, cluttered, or unintuitive were the parts that frustrated you most.

Super useful and intuitive tool for companies. The best is that everything is there in one place: one-to-one, group chats, calendar, meetings, calls, etc. Plus a lot of additional external apps can easily be embedded into teams

Quite pricy. Plus time to time there happen issues, which literaly stop the whole working process sometimes for a half day or more.
