As much as I love open-source software, for many reasons, the benchmark has been set very high by Microsoft Word, especially the desktop version. It is 100% worth every penny. It's easy to create, edit, read, set up macros, and more. I can use the templates to create anything from blank documents, to forms such as applications, contracts and more. I have enjoyed the new collaboration features as well, being able to share documents in real-time has helped improve the workflow in our office immensely. > > **Desvantagens**: I have one major gripe, and that is primarily with the browser-based version of Microsoft Word. It's lacking in features, and customer support has been unable to help me find a good work-around, so we have to edit a document in browser, save and edit on desktop, then save again and finish in browser, for example. > > It's been great since the first day I used it decades ago. It has adapted very well to the changing landscape of workplaces and the heightened inter-connectivity of modern offices.
